Let me ask you something…
Have you ever looked into your wardrobe and just felt nothing? Like, getting dressed used to be fun—but now it’s just another thing on the to-do list? If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and this blog is for YOU. Because today, we’re talking about something I hear from so many women:
‘I’m in a style rut!’“
A style rut is when you feel uninspired, unmotivated, or disconnected from your wardrobe. You might be wearing the same few outfits on repeat, or not feeling confident in anything you put on.
So why does it happen?
Life changes — like motherhood, job shifts, and body changes are major factors.
– You have no time and energy to go shopping, especially for busy mums
– Your style simply hasn’t evolved to match who you are now
And it’s totally okay—it’s actually a great signal that something is ready to shift. So what are some signs that you’re in a style rut?

Here are some signs you’re in a style rut:
- You wear the same things on repeat (and not in a good capsule-wardrobe way 😅)
- You feel meh when you get dressed
- You avoid social outings because you don’t know what to wear
- You buy new things, but still feel like you have “nothing to wear” … Let’s talk about how to shake that off and get re-inspired!
Try these simple steps to reignite your fashion spark!
- Start with a Pinterest board or screenshot outfits you love on Instagram
- Play dress-up! Try on pieces you haven’t worn in a while. Mix & match.
- Connect to how you want to feel—not just what you want to wear
- Take mirror selfies when you do feel good in an outfit—these help you build a bank of go-to looks
You don’t have to spend a cent to feel re-inspired. It’s about reconnecting with YOU and how you want to show up. Sometimes it’s not even about the clothes—it’s about how we feel inside. Getting out of a rut is about giving yourself permission to prioritise yourself again.
You deserve to feel good. You deserve to look in the mirror and go: “Yes, that’s ME.”

My Simple 3-Step Plan to Fall Back in Love with Your Wardrobe!
Here’s a simple way to refresh your style, even if you’re short on time:
- Reflect – Ask yourself: What do I want my style to say about me? Who am I today, and does my wardrobe reflect that?
- Reset – Remove the pieces that don’t align with the now you. You don’t have to do a full detox—just pull 5 pieces that don’t spark anything.
- Rebuild – Identify a few gaps. Do you need better basics? A great pair of jeans? Something that brings joy when you wear it?
This is something I help clients with all the time—and once we get clarity, the confidence returns so quickly! Falling back in love with your wardrobe can be such a fun and rewarding process. Whether it’s rediscovering old favourites, getting creative with styling, or even doing a bit of closet organisation, it’s a great way to refresh your style without always buying new things.
You’ve got this. Let’s bring the joy back into getting dressed again!

So if you’re in a style rut—know that you’re not stuck! You just need a little spark, a little support, and a reminder of how incredible you already are.
