Fashion stylist Shannon Johnson takes a look around H&M and shows us four must-have items

Swedish retailer H&M has been open at Macquarie Centre since October last year and I have been absolutely dying to get there. When I was asked to do a review for the North Shore Mums website, I was so thrilled as it would finally give me a very good reason to head across and check it out. I must mention that I had a pretty good excuse for not going there until now – my second little baby boy, Jayden, who has kept me very busy. Managing two and having my own styling business has definitely kept me on my toes!

The place is exactly how I remembered it from when I lived in London. The merchandising set-up is identical, and oh the excitement at the prices! I spent many hours travelling abroad scouting these stores to bring back inspiration to our buyers, so it is great to have it now so close to home. H&M is the ‘go-to’ place for the latest trends at really affordable prices.

The Macquarie Centre store is over two levels and stocks:

• Womenswear – fashion, sport, swim, underwear, accessories, shoes, maternity and plus sizes
• Childrenswear
• Menswear

If you’re on a budget and want the latest trends, then H&M could be for you. I can’t wait to take my clients shopping at the H&M store. And another is due to open mid year at The Glasshouse on Pitt St Mall that will be double the size of Macquarie Centre!
